The concept was simple; a durable scope with a reticle that illuminates in low-light and no-light situations—without requiring the use of batteries. More than 30 years later, the original ACOG stands the test of time as one of our most popular items. Choose from many 4×32 options, including the Official Rifle Combat Optic (RCO) of the U.S. Marine Corps.
The chevron reticle is designed to be zeroed using the tip at 100 meters. The width of the chevron at the base is 5.53 MOA which is 19 in. at 300 meters. This allows range estimation for silhouette targets. Features dual illumination (Fiber optics provides daylight illumination and tritium illuminates the reticle at night). The ranging reticle is calibrated for 5.56(.223 cal) flattop rifles out to 800 meters.
Holosun’s Description: The HS407C X2 is an open reflex optical sight designed for full-sized pistol applications. The HS407C X2 improves on previous versions by adding Lock Mode which was first introduced in our 2018 LEM pistol optic models. Lock Mode, when activated, locks the buttons preventing inadvertent setting changes.
Additional features include Holosun’s Red Super LED with up to 50k hour battery life, Solar Failsafe, precision 2MOA dot, and Shake Awake. The durable housing is made from 7075 Aluminum, uses an industry standard footprint, and houses the 1632 battery in a side-mounted tray for easy replacement when needed.
RKB Armory’s Opinion: The ACOG with a piggybacked red dot has re-emerged as a popular option. This only weighs about 17 ounces, but allows the speed of a red dot, with the clarity, durability, and magnification of an ACOG.
